Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Gameplay: 9.4 Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath has very innovative gameplay, in a very
odd (but in a good way) 1st and 3rd person views. The 1st person view has you holding a crossbow and a limited number of "Live
Ammo" the even talks back to you. The 3rd person view only has two attacks. This game also gets repetitive and seems like
your trying to capture the same outlaws over and over again.
Graphics: 9.6 The
graphics in this game are simply gorgeous in the very few cinematics that it has. The "Live Ammo" in this game looks simply
amazing and Stranger himself looks like a very old horse. All of the towns people all look like deformed chickens. Also the
inside of buildings have the best graphics I've ever seen.
Sound/Music: 9.0 All
of the voices in Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath sound as if they got random people off of the street with either really deep or
really high voices. The sound effects in the game sound better than most average platformers and actually sound like they
belong in this game. You don't really notice the music because all of the cheesy, yet funny dialogue, but the over music sounds
pretty good for a platformer.
Story: 9.5 The story at first is kind of simple,
capture wanted bounties for money towards a special surgery, but what the surgery in fact is a huge twist that was really
breathtaking. After you find out Stranger's secret your main goal is to take out a villain who is destroying a town. So you
obviously have to take him down.
Control: 9.6 The control is actually really
simple to get used to. The only two problems I had with the control was switching ammo and having to switch back to the 3rd
person view to capture a bounty.
