Super Mario 64 DS

Flip open your DS and insert the Mario game and you're in for a ride! But you may be asking: I'VE PLAYED THIS 8 YEARS AND I'LL NEVER GET A GF!!! But if you actually look beyond an 8 year game this is actually a great game for fans of the original or newcomers alike. They will find something to love in this charming platformer!

First pop in the card and instead of messing mario's face you can distort it, and yoshi too! Also you can draw (you can't save your work). It's a lot funner than before. You can VS, adveture mode or the DUN DUN DUN DUNNN rec room.

Vs. to battle your opponent. It's fun but you probably won't use it. You only need one cart. Rec room might be the funnest part of the game (more on that later)and adventure is the meat of the game. I will give reviews for each mode seperalty.

Graphics:
It's probably not as good if you look at a screenshot. But the graphics are EXTREMLY polished. This looks much better than it's old game. The framerate is great and chances are you'll love the love it's colorful but great graphics.

9.5/10

Music:
The music is great and always suits the mood. Wether you're swimming in jolly roger bay or sliding down a slide the music will always fit. I found no problems here and how can you not like SMB theme in acopella (the secret level music in Sunsine). The music just feels perfect with the stereo.

10/10

Sound:
Varies. You'll hear GREAT sounds sometimes and others it'll give you a headache others. Like mario, he sounds terrible. You'll like most of the sound though.

8/10

Story:
Save the princess, bowser, same ole blah blah blah. BUT WAIT 4 CHARACTERS. Yoshi finds the big M, luigi, and wario and he has to find them. Unoriginal.

5/10

Controls:
Well nothing's gonna replace the joystick so let's all stop complaining and get over it. The touch screen can be used as a pseudo joystick. It's usable. The characters control well but you just don't get the best controls at the right time. They're easy to figure out and not that hard to use but they will take some time to get used to.

7/10

Adventure:
Fustrating at times but fun to adventure. There's alot to do and it'll last you a long time.

9/10

Gameplay (for adventure mode):
It's fun deep and nice you'll find alot to do while using the 4 characters. Get one of your stars with your favorite person. As I said fustrating at times. So stars require trial and error and are very fustrating.

9.2/10

Minigames:
Oh hell ya. There's so many things to do. So much innovation. So many things to do. You won't get bored here. This is so fun. Varity here is key. Hell this could be sold as a 30 dollar stand alone game.

10/10

VS. mode:
Only 4 modes and it's boring quick. But you'll have a blast playing with friends. If you can play this with friends. And although competing against minigame scores is funner this is still enjoyable. But you probably won't play it much.

6.8/10

Replay value:
This is great. So many things to do, levels to explore and minigames to play. You can go back to beat the game with different characters. To complaints or problems.

10/10

Overall:
This is a must have title that you'll enjoy it's fun charming and non forgettable.
