Shenmue 2 (G4MasterChief Review)

Yu Suzuki is such a visionary in video gaming with his Virtua Fighter series,Outrun,Hang On,Space Harrier,After Burner, and others. But I think his best is the Shenmue series. And Shenmue 2 is no exception

Story:
The story continues on with Ryo Hazuki trying to find his fathers killer,Lan Di,from the first Shenmue for the Dreamcast. After his departure from Japan he enters China or Hong Kong to be exact to find clues to where Lan Di is.  Before Ryo went to China,he found a Phoenix Mirror in his home, that was hidden by his father. That mirror has something to do with Lan Di & his orginization known as the Chiomien. He meets lots of characters along the way like a bad boy of Hong Kong,Ren,and an important character heard from the first game,Yun Da Zhu.

Gameplay:
It is like the first one but easier to navigate. The Fighting is better because most of the moves from the first one is here.  The Quick Time Events or QTEs have expanded with a new one called umm... I cant remember but the new QTE you go to a freeze and you have to press the correct buttons to complete the QTE.

Sound:
The sound is slightly better for Shenmue 2 because the voice actors is slightly almost really good. But you will hear grunts & whimpers during fighting.

Graphics:
As like with the audio the graphics are slightly better.Since it is powered the xbox, it is more likely the game will not slow down, but all the textures and faces seem like Dreamcast graphics, but why have the children in the game look so freaky?

My Conclusion:
The game is worth it because it has other things I didnt mention like new Toy Capsules,Arena Fighting, working with boxes, and the arcades, so try it & you will play till you are done!

Story:8.5
Graphics:8
Gameplay:8.7
Sound:7

Overall:8.2
