Viewtiful Joe

One of my favorite games for the cube would have to be this one right here. Of course I have never played the sequel yet. This is a very stylish and creative game by Capcom. Don't let the title fool you, Viewtiful Joe is not for sissies.

STORY:
You play as Joe. He is your average movie fanatic. He takes his girlfriend,Silvia, on a date to see his favorite superhero, Captain Blue, on the big screen. To make a long story short, the movie bad guy captures Silvia. Joe has to go into the movie to save her and get all kinds of super powers.

SOUND:
The music is very creative and well done. I never get tired of Joe saying "Henshin a go go baby". The voice acting was not superb but it gets the job done.

GRAPHICS:
The graphics are excellent. They are done in some of the best cel shading that I've ever seen. The baddies and bosses were really unique. I liked how they made a 2-D style game in 3-D graphics. It looks like a comic book.
GAMEPLAY:
The other stuff might be great but you don't have a good game without the gameplay and that is where Viewtiful Joe shines. It is a side-scroller but it is more involved than that. Joe gets three powers in his adventure. Slow, Mach Speed, and Zoom In. Each gives him certain abilities to fight enemies and solve puzzles. The fighting is really great and it never slows down, well unless you use slow. The game is very difficult, even on the easiest difficulty. But with four difficulty settings (two unlockable) and three secret characters you'll have alot of replay value.

I'm giving Viewtiful Joe a 10 out of 10
