The Metal Gear Solid games have been known for being some of the best games to ever grace the PS1 and the ps2
and the latest installment of the Metal Gear Solid Series does not disappoint.
Graphics (9.2/10)
The graphic are
some of the best that have been seen on the ps2 (only to be topped by final fantasy). The character models are great and have
a great amount of detail. The big thing about the graphics are the cut scenes. Beautifully done, the cut scenes made my jaw
drop. Overall one of the best looking ps2 games out there.
Sound (9.8/10)
The Metal Gear Solid series has been known
for having great sound and MGS3 does not disappoint. The soundtrack is beautifully done. The VO very is good .
(Story 9/10)
Im not going to say alot here because I don't want to spoil the ending but the plot is good.
It even answers some of the questions you had about MGS1 and 2.
Controls (7/10)
This is were the game can get frustrating.
The main problem here is the in order to get a good view of whats around snake you need to use the first person mode but you
can move while in first person. It makes you stop, look around and move over and over again. Another problem is the controls
are pressure sensitive so that means when you want to grab a enemy from behind you have to tap the circle button and if you
hit it too hard you throw the enemy on the ground. As for the rest of the controls, they are responsive and allow you to do
alot of things.
(Gameplay 9.5/10)
The game is really fun to play. Messing around with guards is sooo much fun and
going thought the game multiple times is a treat. The game also has some interesting boss battles including the end (being
a hour long sniper battle in the woods). One bad thing is that it can be short, on normal you can run thought it in 8-10 hours
but most likely you will play it 3 or 4 times after you beat it.
Tilt (10/10)
If you can get passed the controls the game is great.
Overall a great game for the ps2
im giving it a 9.1 out of 10.
