Gameplay: 9.5
The gameplay in GoW is simply awesome. I absolutely loved the gamplay in it by every means, but one. The swords extend everytime you attack with them and it feels kinda awkward, but other then that it simply kicks ass. Some of the puzzles though in GoW are pretty cool, but sometimes you get stuck at the stupidest places ever. Whenever you get stuck (and you get stuck alot) the place you need to get to is right in front of you and it pisses you off alot. Now the things that are good in the gameplay are bosses, the minigames that happen after you damage an enemy alot, and the combo system are simply better then any game like this before.

Graphics: 9.8
The graphics in GoW are the best graphics I've ever seen on the PS2. You see so much detail that after you unlock the game movies you watch them over and over again just so you notice all of the detail on everywhere in the movies. There is plenty of blood in GoW that look really real, if that makes any sense. There is nothing bad I noticed at all about the graphics.

Sound/Music: 9.8
I love the soundtrack in GoW, it is simply amazing. If you buy GoW and if you look on the back of your instruction booklet, it gives you a code so you can download the full soundtrack of GoW for free. So I tried it out and I love it. I listen to it while I sleep. I listen to it while I play other games. I was even listening to it when I was playing GoW. Heck, I'm even listening to it right now. Kratos' voice in GoW sounds awesome. One of the best voice overs ever. Oh and the narration, love the narration in GoW, the narrator's voice is so strong and really gets you into the game.

Story: 9.7
The story in GoW, makes you want more. It starts out with Kratos killing himself and it goes back 2 weeks ahead. Then the rest of the story is about Kratos and he has to kill the God Of War, Ares. All of the Gods of Olympus want you to kill Ares because he is destroying all of Athens and killing everyone. At the end (hopefully this isn't too bad of a spoiler and it is kinda obvious but) Kratos becomes the GoW and isn't happy, but I won't tell you why because I don't want to screw it for you.

Control: 9.2
I personally didn't think the control was all to good. Mainly two reasons. The first is the block button. The block button is set as L1 and I hated having it there, it pissed me off alot. The second the extending swords. As I stated before it felt awkward everytime you tried attacking. Okay, nevermind there's three reasons. The third is everytime one of the cool minigames come up you have to push a button repeatedely and my hand hurt like heck after doing it the first couple of times. The good things about the control are the combos. You can get really good combos, very easily. The highest I've gotten is a 310 hit combo.
