Ninja Gaiden (g4md Review)

The best part of the game is the gameplay and graphics. I can count the number of times I saw slowdown on one hand. And that was only after killing 5 enemy's in a single strike. The textures are amazing and the cgi cutscenes look extremely realistic. The character models are also great. But theres only a few in every level. The water and fire effects stand out to. There are only a few parts of the game with fire in them, but itakigi and team ninja took the time to make little things like this look as great as the rest of the game. Along with the great graphics is the great gameplay. There is an insane amount of combos with a ton of weapons, most of which can be upgraded various times. But sadly most puzzles are either " find a key to open the door" or "kill the enemy's to open the door" This game is fast.very fast. Blink and a guy will hit you fast. this is both good and bad. It makes the gamevery fun to watch and play. but this comes with a price. This game is hard. broken controller hard. If you have a tempure DO NOT play this.

The sound is a different story. it ranges from soothing techno to painfull techno. In the millitary level, the entire soundtrack of that level was"da-da-da-da-DA-DA-DA-DA"repeat"da-da-da-da-DA-DA-DA-DA". while the voice acting is passable(and I emphisise PASSABLE)the dialoge and story pretty much suck. Team ninja tried to give a great story to a game that didn't need a great story. And they failed. It had the same story as every crappy comic-action movie-game ever. And the characters are not to interresting either. One is an obvious rip off of vader. another is a rip off every ninja clique ever. In one scene the hero ryu is shocked that he has been cursed by a villian before he died, but was not shocked by the fact thet he just went through a maze of ghost fish to fight the guy. And the diologhe. Its not to good. Ryu uses the same screams over and over while attacking. And the translations didnt go over to well either. I swear I was waiting for someone to start talking about how bad the nintendo power glove is. At least you can change launguages and hear the game like you were supposed to. In jappenese. The game is pretty long for an action game. It took me a good 18 hours to beat it. But the gameplay is still oh, so good.
