Sly 2: Band of Thieves

Sly 2: Band of Thieves is the sequel to "Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus" which came out in 2002. I will break down the review by categories (graphics, sound gameplay) so lets get started.

Graphics
---------

The graphics in Sly 2 are incredible. The characters are some of the best looking in any toon shaded game to come out, and the enviorments are no slouch either. Animation is smooth as silk as I didnt notice any slowdown throughout the whole game nor any chopiness.

Graphics- 9.7

Sound
---------

Sly 2 also excels in the sound department as well.
Each level has music to fits its theme and the sneaking sounds are used when you're trying to pickpocket/stealth kill an enemy. The voice work is good as well. Most of the voices come across as they should but the voicework for Carmelita is awful.

Sound- 8.9

Gameplay
---------

The gameplay in Sly 2 is the strongest element in the game. With 3 playable characters the variation of gameplay you get is mindblowing. Murray and Bentley's missions are more varied and ultimately more interesting but its not as fun to control them as it is Sly. The basic breakdown of missions is:
Sly-Pickpocketing, Bugging, redirection. (I count the elephant mission as pickpocketing)

Bentley- Hacking (hard to get used to at 1st but one of the best parts once you get the hang of it),Puzzle Solving, Bombing.

Murray-...Murray's missions are by far the most varied so I couldnt put them all into a list.

Gameplay- 9.4

Conclusion
---------

Sly 2 is a great game that should not be missed by platforming fans...or fans of the seris. The story is Oceans 11-like and the free roaming levels are great to explore even if you have to put a missionn of for a while o do it. While the game is pretty short and there isnt much incentive to go back through it is well worth the $40.

Final Score- 9.3/10
